Rocky & Jae Pearson
We met at a Corvette meeting in 1996 in Santa Clara, Ca., bought this English Tudor home in June of 1997 and were married on the front steps of the house in August, 1997. We continued to work in Santa Clara Co. and commute to our "Dream Retirement Home" on the weekends. In March of 2000, I (Rocky) retired and moved up to the house permanently, which allows me to care for the animals we have on the 5 acres which surrounds the house.
We have 12 llamas (2 baby llamas were born in Spring 2001), 2 mini-donkies(mother and son), 2 dogs(Gizmo & Gidget) and 2 cats(Rambo & Oreo). Jae will retire in December 2001 and move to Auburn at that time. I can't wait!!!

Auburn is East of Sacramento about 30 miles, off Hwy 80, going towards Reno which is only 100 miles away. We are located at the 1200 feet elevation, below the snow line, so we usually only have rain during the winter, except for a rare occasion when it snows(very rare).
Auburn is located in the heart of "The Gold Country" and Placerville is about 45 miles away and Grass Valley is 20 miles away.
We are above the "smogline" but can see it hanging over Sacramento. We like to think we have a "slice of heaven" in this area.
Jae's mom sold her ranch in Stinson Beach in 1998 and found a 5 acre place about 6 miles from our house. Flo(Jae's mom) has been a great help to us over the past 3 years until I retired. She took care of our property & animals as if they were her own and we owe her a great debt of gratitude. She still helps alot by watching the puppies when we go anywhere overnight or for the day. THANKS A MILLION MOM!!!
